- Named results: Apex Hydraulics, taken from a Google penalty at 11% organic visibility to 94%.
- Search signal: that page ranks third for "seo consultant leeds".
- Own businesses: he has also built his own, including a travel business.
Worth knowing: he doesn't publish a price or a company number on that page. Ask for both.
GWContent (Graeme Whiles)
Best for: Shopify and SaaS sites that need a senior audit before anything else.
Yes, this is me. Here's how I score on the same checks.
- Where: Horsforth, Leeds.
- Company: GW Copywriting Limited, trading as GWContent, incorporated in 2023 (Companies House 14724975).
- Named results: after REHAUS moved its Shopify store to a new domain, I rebuilt 1,600 redirects and monthly impressions grew 5.9 times. At 6sense, the site earned 57.4M impressions over the six months I led SEO.
- Published prices: £400 a day, audits from £1,200, and retainers from £2,400 a month.
- Reviews: 4.9 from 33 Google reviews. None on Clutch or Trustpilot yet.
Worth knowing: most of my clients aren't local. If you need someone who lives and breathes West Yorkshire local search, there are better choices on this list.
Rob May SEO
Best for: marketing teams that want a consultant working as part of the team.
- Where: Horsforth, Leeds.

Worth knowing: Wetherby is a drive from the city centre, so check it suits you if face-to-face meetings are why you're hiring locally.
Do you actually need a Leeds SEO agency?
Here's how I'd decide.
- Choose local if: your customers are in Leeds or West Yorkshire, or you want regular meetings in person.
