The Best AI SEO Agencies in the UK (2026), Checked for Real AI Results

Every SEO agency in the UK now seems to sell AI SEO.

Each one has a service page promising to get you named in ChatGPT, usually with plenty of talk about "generative engine optimisation".

So how do you tell the agencies that can actually get you recommended by AI from the ones that just added a page?

However, the test is simpler than it looks.

Ask for a client that AI now recommends because of the agency's work, then check whether AI recommends the agency itself.

Full disclosure: I sell AI visibility audits, and I'm on this list. I've put myself through exactly the same checks as everyone else, including the ones where I come up short.

In this guide, I'll show you how I checked each one, then take you through 10 UK AI SEO agencies and consultants, grouped by the proof they publish, and the questions to ask before you sign.

Short on time? Here are the key takeaways

  • Ask for an AI result, not an AI service page: six of the 10 publish a result specific to AI search, and five of those name the client.
  • Google's AI already has favourites: for "ai seo agency" in the UK, its AI Overview cites three agencies on this list, The SEO Works, Go Up and Ink Digital.
  • Ranking isn't proof: CEEK ranks second in Google for "ai seo agency", but its AI search page doesn't show an AI result.
  • Prices are rare: Click Intelligence publishes AI SEO retainers from £1,000 a month, and I publish an AI visibility audit from £1,200.
  • The most reviews aren't the most AI proof: PN Digital has 88 Trustpilot reviews, but its AI SEO page shows no AI-specific result.

How I checked every name on this list

I didn't take anyone's word for it, including my own.

  • AI-specific results: a result in ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews or another AI tool, ideally for a named client.
  • A company you can look up: I checked Companies House wherever the business shows a company number. UK limited companies must show their registered number on their website, so a missing number is worth asking about.
  • Independent reviews: reviews on Trustpilot or Clutch, where the business doesn't choose what's shown.
  • Published prices: a starting price on its own website.
  • AI search signal: whether Google's AI Overview cites the agency when UK buyers search "ai seo agency", and where it ranks.

I checked everything on 2 November 2026.

Nobody paid to be on this list.

Agencies cited by Google's AI Overview for "ai seo agency" in the UK: The SEO Works, Go Up and Ink Digital from this list; Found, MRS Digital and Propeller from the AEO list; and Thrive Agency from the US

Agencies that publish named AI results

These four show you a client, a number and an AI tool. That's the bar.

The SEO Works

Best for: larger firms that want AI Overview results backed by a big, established team.

  • Company: The SEO Works Limited, founded in 2009 (Companies House 06845547), based in Sheffield and employee owned.
  • AI-specific results: a campaign for DHL that grew AI Overview citations by 287% and ChatGPT referrals by 121%, and 60.6% share of voice in AI Overviews for a seating manufacturer, according to its AI SEO page.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites that page for "ai seo agency" in the UK.
  • Reviews: 4.8 from 58 Clutch reviews and a TrustScore of 4.2 from 38 Trustpilot reviews, the most independent reviews of anyone on this list.
  • Published prices: SEO packages from £1,500 a month.

Worth knowing: the strongest all-round score on this list. It names a client, shows the AI numbers, and has reviews on two independent platforms.

Go Up

Best for: consumer brands that want more traffic from AI tools.

  • Based: London, and in business since 2011 according to its website.
  • AI-specific results: Berganza with 345% more AI referral sessions between June and September, Best Student Halls with 103% more AI-attributed traffic year on year, and Rapha recommended across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, according to its AI SEO case studies.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites its AI SEO page for "ai seo agency" in the UK.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: the most named AI case studies of anyone here. However, the site doesn't show a company number, so ask for it.

Ink Digital

Best for: brands that want to be the name ChatGPT gives.

  • Company: Ink Digital Ltd, incorporated in 2019 (Companies House 12272991), registered in Brentwood, Essex.
  • AI-specific results: Hertfordshire Zoo appearing in ChatGPT for 100% of its tracked terms, alongside a 4.45M increase in non-branded impressions, according to its AI SEO page.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites that page for "ai seo agency" in the UK.
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.5 from 15 Trustpilot reviews.

Worth knowing: it offers separate services for ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Ask which tools matter most for your buyers before you pay for all three.

Geeky Tech

Best for: B2B tech companies that want to show up in AI answers for "best" searches.

  • Company: Geeky Tech Ltd, incorporated in 2017 (Companies House 11059399).
  • AI-specific results: Osano, a privacy software company, with a 61.3% higher mention rate in Google's AI Overviews for "best company" searches and the top spot in Google for "cookie consent", according to its Osano case study.
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.1 from five Trustpilot reviews.

Worth knowing: I also include Geeky Tech in my guide to B2B SEO agencies, where its software clients are the closest fit.

If you want a price before a pitch

Click Intelligence

Best for: firms that want to know the cost of AI SEO before the first call.

  • Company: Click Intelligence Ltd, incorporated in 2013 (Companies House 08492173), registered in London.
  • Published prices: AI SEO from £1,000 a month for start-ups, £3,000 for SMEs and £5,000 for larger firms, according to its AI SEO page.
  • AI-specific results: AI Overview appearances for a SaaS client grew from 1 to 448 in 12 months, alongside 206% year-on-year organic traffic growth. The client isn't named.
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.0 from four Trustpilot reviews.

Worth knowing: the only agency here to publish an AI SEO retainer price. Ask for the name of that SaaS client and a contact you can speak to.

GWContent (Graeme Whiles)

Best for: businesses that want to know where they stand in AI answers before committing to a retainer.

Yes, this is me. Here's how I score on the same checks.

  • Who does the work: me. No account managers and no juniors.
  • Company: GW Copywriting Limited, trading as GWContent, incorporated in 2023 (Companies House 14724975).
  • Published prices: an AI visibility audit from £1,200, which covers 100 prompt tests per engine across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews.
  • AI-specific results: after I took over a failed domain migration for REHAUS, a designer furniture store, ChatGPT named it the #1 "best overall" choice for best second-hand designer furniture.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 33 Google reviews. None on Clutch or Trustpilot yet.

Worth knowing: Google's AI Overview doesn't cite me for "ai seo agency" yet. If you want a large team running AI SEO every month, The SEO Works or Go Up will suit you better.

If you want AI visibility through PR

Rise at Seven

Best for: big consumer brands that want AI visibility driven by digital PR.

  • Company: Rise at Seven Ltd, incorporated in 2019 (Companies House 11955187), registered in Manchester.
  • Approach: its AI SEO page argues that earned media drives 80% of AI citations, and builds AI visibility through press coverage and brand mentions.
  • AI-specific results: the page features Parkdean Resorts' AI Overview appearances, but I couldn't read a figure from it.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: the PR-led approach suits brands with something newsworthy to say. Ask for the Parkdean numbers in the pitch.

Agencies to ask for proof

Both of these rank well for AI SEO searches. Neither shows an AI-specific result on its AI service page.

CEEK

Best for: firms happy to judge an agency on a pitch.

  • Based: London, and founded in 2016 according to its website.
  • Search signal: its AI search agency page ranks second in Google in the UK for "ai seo agency".
  • AI-specific results: none on that page.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: the site doesn't show a company number. Ask for it, and for an AI result with a client name.

PN Digital

Best for: small firms that put weight on customer reviews.

  • Based: London.
  • Search signal: its AI SEO agency page ranks sixth in Google in the UK for "ai seo agency".
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.9 from 88 Trustpilot reviews, the most Trustpilot reviews on this list.
  • AI-specific results: none on its AI SEO page. The results shown there are for paid ads and traffic growth.

Worth knowing: its AI SEO page says monthly retainers typically range from £1,750 to £12,000 or more. That's a market range, not its own price, so ask for a quote.

If you want to do it in-house

Varn

Best for: marketing teams that want to learn AI search and run it themselves.

  • Company: Varn Limited, incorporated in 2020 (Companies House 12842760), with offices near Bath and in London.
  • What it offers: a GEO service and AI search training, with courses from £395 per person.
  • AI-specific results: none found on its AI service pages.
  • Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.

Worth knowing: the cheapest way into AI search on this list, if you have someone in-house to do the work.

Also worth a look: the AEO specialists

For "ai seo agency" in the UK, Google's AI Overview also cites Found, MRS Digital and Propeller.

I've checked all three, plus Reboot Online, in my guide to the best AEO agencies in the UK.

Questions to ask an AI SEO agency

Here's what I'd ask before signing anything.

Four questions to ask an AI SEO agency: which client does AI recommend because of your work, which prompts will you track and in which tools, what will you change on and off my site, and how will you report it

  • Which client does AI recommend because of your work? Then ask ChatGPT yourself.
  • Which prompts will you track, and in which tools? ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews often give different answers.
  • What will you change on my site, and what off it? AI answers often draw on reviews, comparisons and press mentions on other sites.
  • How will you report it? Look for AI referral sessions in Google Analytics, citations and share of voice, not just rankings.

My guide to measuring AI visibility without buying a tool shows you how to test the answers yourself.

What AI SEO costs in the UK

Only two businesses on this list publish a price for AI-specific work: Click Intelligence, from £1,000 a month, and me, with an AI visibility audit from £1,200.

The good news? You don't need a retainer to find out where you stand.

An audit will tell you which prompts you're missing from, and why.

My survey of published UK SEO prices shows what 20 providers charge for SEO more generally.

Final Thoughts

AI SEO is still new enough that almost anyone can claim it.

The AI SEO agencies worth hiring aren't the ones with the newest service page. They're the ones that can show you a client AI now recommends, and let you check.

If you want to know where you stand in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews before you hire anyone, start with an AI visibility audit, read my case studies, or get in touch. If you need a bigger team, I'll tell you which agency on this list I'd call.

AI SEO Agency Frequently Asked Questions

What does an AI SEO agency do?

An AI SEO agency works to get a business mentioned and cited in AI answers, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. The work usually covers technical access for AI crawlers, content that answers the questions buyers ask AI tools, mentions on the third-party sites those tools trust, and tracking which prompts name the business.

How much does an AI SEO agency cost in the UK?

Few publish prices. Of the 10 UK agencies and consultants in this guide, Click Intelligence publishes AI SEO retainers from £1,000 a month, and GWContent publishes an AI visibility audit from £1,200. PN Digital's AI SEO page puts typical monthly retainers at £1,750 to £12,000 or more.

How do I check if an AI SEO agency gets results?

Ask for a named client that AI tools now recommend because of the agency's work, then test it yourself in ChatGPT and Google. Look the agency up at Companies House, read its reviews on Trustpilot or Clutch, and check whether AI tools mention the agency itself.

Is AI SEO different from SEO?

AI SEO builds on traditional SEO rather than replacing it. Pages that can't be crawled or don't rank are rarely cited in AI answers. What AI SEO adds is tracking prompts rather than keywords, and earning mentions on the reviews, comparisons and press coverage that AI tools draw on.
