The Best B2B SEO Agencies in the UK (2026), and When a Consultant Beats Them

Search "best B2B SEO agencies UK" and the top results are lists.

Many of them are written by B2B SEO agencies, and at least one of those agencies ranks itself first.

That doesn't make those agencies bad.

However, it does mean the list can't tell you the thing you actually need to know: which of these firms will turn organic search into pipeline for a business like yours?

So I've done it differently.

Full disclosure: I'm a B2B SEO consultant, and I'm on this list. I've put myself through exactly the same checks as everyone else, including the ones where I come up short.

In this guide, I'll show you the trust signals I checked, then take you through 11 UK B2B SEO agencies and consultants, grouped by the kind of B2B business each one suits, and when a consultant is the better hire.

Short on time? Here are the key takeaways

  • Judge B2B SEO in pipeline: leads, opportunities and revenue, not traffic. Rudo, Directive and Hallam all say they report this way.
  • A consultant often beats an agency below about £5m revenue: one senior person who knows your buyer can do more with £2,000 a month than a junior-heavy account.
  • Google's AI already has favourites: for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK, its AI Overview cites six firms on this list.
  • Published prices are rare: four of the 11 publish a starting price, from £1,425 to £2,400 a month.
  • Verifiable reviews are thinner still: only two of the 11 have more than one Trustpilot review.

How I checked every name on this list

I didn't take anyone's word for it, including my own.

  • B2B results: a result tied to leads, pipeline or revenue for a B2B client, ideally named.
  • A company you can look up: I checked Companies House wherever the business shows a company number or trades under its own name.
  • Independent reviews: reviews on Clutch or Trustpilot, where the business doesn't choose what's shown.
  • Published prices: a starting price on its own website.
  • AI search signal: whether Google's AI Overview cites the firm when UK buyers search "b2b seo consultant".

I checked everything on 2 November 2026.

Nobody paid to be on this list.

UK B2B SEO agencies and consultants by type of business: lean B2B teams, Alkane Marketing and GWContent; pipeline-led B2B, Rudo, Directive, Hallam, MRS Digital and Whitehat SEO; smaller B2B firms, Dandy Marketing and Geeky Tech; creative and PR, Push and Angelfish Marketing

Lean B2B teams: hire a senior consultant

If your marketing team is one or two people, an agency retainer often buys you an account manager and a junior executive.

A senior consultant gives you the expensive part, the judgement, without the overhead.

Alkane Marketing (Alastair Kane)

Best for: lean B2B teams that want a senior search consultant on a fixed monthly budget.

  • Who does the work: Alastair Kane, an independent consultant who has helped B2B companies with SEO since 2012 and was previously Head of Search at a B2B marketing agency.
  • Published prices: B2B SEO retainers from £1,425 to £2,850 a month, according to his B2B SEO page.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites that page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK.
  • Reviews: his site shows six Google reviews. I didn't find him on Clutch or Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: the site doesn't show a company number or a town, so ask for both before you sign.

GWContent (Graeme Whiles)

Best for: B2B tech companies whose product, comparison and use case pages aren't bringing in demos.

Yes, this is me. Here's how I score on the same checks.

  • Who does the work: me. No account managers and no juniors.
  • Company: GW Copywriting Limited, trading as GWContent, incorporated in 2023 (Companies House 14724975).
  • B2B results: at 6sense, the site earned 57.4M impressions and 310,582 clicks over the six months I led SEO, with average position moving from 15.0 to 11.4. Other B2B clients include Connecteam and Originality.ai.
  • Published prices: retainers from £2,400 a month, a technical SEO audit from £1,600 and an AI visibility audit from £1,200.
  • Reviews: 4.9 from 33 Google reviews. None on Clutch or Trustpilot yet.

Worth knowing: I don't run paid media or ABM. If you want SEO run alongside them, Rudo or Directive will suit you better.

B2B specialists that report in pipeline

These are the firms to shortlist if your board wants to see opportunities, not rankings.

Rudo

Best for: B2B firms that want SEO, paid search and AI visibility reported against pipeline.

  • Based: London and Reading, and B2B-only since 2020, according to its SEO page.
  • Published prices: SEO from £1,500 a month, AI visibility from £1,500 a month and paid search from £1,400 a month.
  • Search signal: its SEO page ranks fifth in Google in the UK for "b2b seo agency" on a site with a Domain Rating of 12.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: one of only two agencies here that publish prices. That's a strong trust signal for a B2B buyer who has to get a budget signed off.

Directive

Best for: funded B2B tech companies that want a large, B2B-only specialist.

  • Based: a US agency, working with B2B businesses since 2013 according to its website, with a UK SEO service.
  • B2B results: Inscribe (237% keyword growth), and a client quote crediting it with a 46% increase in organic conversions in a quarter.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites its UK SEO page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK.
  • Reviews: one Trustpilot review.

Worth knowing: it's a US agency, so check whose time zone your account team works in.

Hallam

Best for: established B2B firms with an in-house marketing team.

  • Company: Hallam Internet Limited, incorporated in 2000 (Companies House 03989628), based in Nottingham.
  • B2B results: a 60% increase in organic revenue for food hygiene and safety training providers, according to its SEO page.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites that page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: it has been registered since 2000, and it runs its own B2B marketing community, Better B2B.

MRS Digital

Best for: B2B firms that want SEO and paid search run by one team.

  • Company: MRS Web Solutions Limited, incorporated in 1999 (Companies House 03900283), based in Surrey.
  • What it offers: a dedicated B2B SEO service, and its AI SEO page reports a 267% year-on-year increase in sessions from AI chat tools for a client.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites its B2B SEO page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK.
  • Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.

Worth knowing: the longest-registered company of those I could check at Companies House.

Whitehat SEO

Best for: B2B companies that run their marketing on HubSpot.

  • Based: London. A HubSpot Diamond Partner with more than 14 years of B2B experience, according to its pricing page.
  • Published prices: SEO from £1,967 a month ex VAT on 30-day rolling contracts, according to its pricing page.
  • B2B results: none found with numbers on the pricing page.
  • Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.

Worth knowing: a rolling monthly contract is rare in B2B SEO. It tells you the agency expects to keep you on results.

Smaller B2B firms and B2B ecommerce

Dandy Marketing

Best for: small B2B firms and B2B online shops.

  • Company: Dandy Marketing Agency Ltd, incorporated in 2017 (Companies House 11058515).
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.7 from 39 Trustpilot reviews, the most independent reviews of anyone on this list.
  • B2B results: MGOC Spares, a classic car parts shop, with 61% revenue growth year on year, according to its B2B SEO page.
  • Search signal: that page ranks third in Google in the UK for "b2b seo agency".

Worth knowing: its site says it has worked with more than 200 small businesses since 2017. If you're a large enterprise, it's not built for you.

Geeky Tech

Best for: B2B tech companies that want AI search visibility as well as rankings.

  • Company: Geeky Tech Ltd, incorporated in 2017 (Companies House 11059399).
  • B2B results: Osano, a privacy software company, with 78% growth in AI search visibility, and a client testimonial reporting a 167% increase in leads in a quarter, both on its homepage.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites a Geeky Tech B2B SEO page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK, although that page returned "not found" when I checked it.
  • Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.1 from five Trustpilot reviews.

Worth knowing: one of the few B2B agencies here publishing an AI search result for a named client.

B2B brands that want creative and PR too

Push

Best for: B2B brands that want SEO alongside creative, digital PR and paid social.

  • Company: Push Group Limited, incorporated in 2007 (Companies House 06237443), based in London.
  • AI search signal: Google's AI Overview cites its B2B SEO page for "b2b seo consultant" in the UK.
  • Results: most of the case studies shown on its B2B SEO page are consumer brands, such as Mo Bros.
  • Reviews: one Trustpilot review.

Worth knowing: ask for a B2B case study specifically, because the published ones lean consumer.

Angelfish Marketing

Best for: B2B firms that want SEO and AEO run together.

  • Company: Angelfish Digital Marketing Ltd, incorporated in March 2026 (Companies House 17090507), registered in Cheltenham.
  • B2B results: an 847% growth in visibility and a 118% increase in organic leads, though the client isn't named on its homepage.
  • Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.

Worth knowing: Angelfish publishes its own list of the best UK B2B SEO agencies and ranks itself first. Read it with that in mind, as you should any list, this one included.

Agency or consultant: which should you hire?

Here's how I'd decide.

Agency or consultant for B2B SEO: hire a consultant if you have one or two marketers and pages to fix; hire a B2B agency if you need content at volume, SEO alongside paid and ABM, or revenue operations reporting; either way, ask what they will build in 90 days and how they will report it in pipeline

  • Hire a consultant if: you have one or two marketers, a clear product, and pages that need fixing more than content that needs producing.
  • Hire a B2B agency if: you need content at volume, SEO run alongside paid and ABM, or reporting into a revenue operations team.
  • Either way, ask: "What will you build in the first 90 days, and how will you report it in pipeline?" If the answer is a content calendar and a rankings report, keep looking.

My guide to B2B SEO covers the pages that get you on the shortlist before the buyer talks to sales.

What B2B SEO costs in the UK

The four published starting prices on this list run from £1,425 a month (Alkane Marketing) to £2,400 a month (me), with Rudo at £1,500 and Whitehat SEO at £1,967.

Published B2B SEO starting prices in the UK: Alkane Marketing £1,425 a month, Rudo £1,500, Whitehat SEO £1,967 ex VAT and GWContent £2,400; the other seven don't publish a price

The good news? Most B2B SEO problems can be diagnosed in a one-off audit before you commit to a retainer.

My survey of published UK SEO prices shows what 20 providers charge more generally.

Final Thoughts

The best B2B SEO agency for you is the one that already understands how your buyers choose.

The B2B SEO partners worth hiring aren't the ones that top their own lists. They're the ones who can show you pipeline from organic search, and who let you check.

If you're a B2B tech company and your commercial pages aren't bringing in demos, that's the work I do. Read my case studies, start with a free SEO audit, or get in touch. If you need a bigger team, I'll tell you which agency on this list I'd call.

B2B SEO Agency Frequently Asked Questions

What does a B2B SEO agency do?

A B2B SEO agency gets a business-to-business company found by buyers researching a purchase, then turns that visibility into leads and pipeline. The work usually covers product, comparison and use case pages, technical fixes, content for each stage of a long buying journey, and reporting tied to sales.

How much does a B2B SEO agency cost in the UK?

Few publish prices. Of the 11 UK agencies and consultants in this guide, published starting prices run from £1,425 a month (Alkane Marketing) to £2,400 a month (GWContent), with Rudo at £1,500 and Whitehat SEO at £1,967 ex VAT.

Should a B2B company hire an SEO agency or a consultant?

A senior consultant usually suits a lean B2B team with pages to fix. An agency suits companies that need content at volume, or SEO run alongside paid search and ABM. Either way, ask how results will be reported in pipeline rather than traffic.

How do I check a B2B SEO agency's results?

Ask for a named B2B client with results in leads, opportunities or revenue, and a contact you can speak to. Then look the company up at Companies House and read its reviews on Clutch or Trustpilot rather than its own testimonials.
