The Best AEO Agencies and Consultants in the UK (2026)
Published: 2 November 2026 | Last updated: 2 November 2026 | 11 min read

You asked ChatGPT to recommend a supplier in your category.
Your biggest competitor came up. You didn't.
So you start looking for an AEO agency, and it turns out every SEO agency in the country has become one.
However, a new service page is easy to publish.
Proof is much harder to fake.
First, let me explain what I mean by 'AEO'.
Answer engine optimisation (AEO) is the work of getting your brand cited or recommended in AI answers: ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini.
You'll also see it called GEO or AI SEO, and I've covered the differences in AEO vs GEO vs SEO.
Full disclosure: I sell AEO work, and I'm on this list.
I've put myself through exactly the same checks as everyone else, and I don't come out on top of all of them.
In this guide, I'll show you the trust signals that matter most for AEO, then take you through 11 UK AEO agencies and consultants, what each one is best for, and which of them can actually show AI-specific results.
Short on time? Here are the key takeaways
- Ask for AI-specific numbers: citations, AI referral traffic or conversions from AI tools, with dates. Five of the 11 publish them: Tom Riley, MRS Digital, Reboot Online, Brand Ambition and me.
- Most AEO is still SEO: AI answers lean on pages that already rank and get mentioned, so an AEO partner without solid SEO results is a risk.
- Check how long the company has existed: two companies here registered their current trading company in 2025 or 2026. That isn't a red flag on its own, but check the people behind it.
- Prices are rarely published: only four of the 11 publish a starting price, from £1,200 for a one-off audit to £3,000 a month.
How I checked every name on this list
I didn't take anyone's word for it, including my own.
- AI-specific results: numbers for AI citations, AI referral traffic or conversions from AI tools. Google traffic growth on its own doesn't count here.
- A company you can look up: I checked Companies House wherever the business shows a company number.
- Independent reviews: reviews on Clutch or Trustpilot, where the business doesn't choose what's shown.
- Published prices: a starting price on its own website.
- Who does the work: a named consultant, or an agency team.
I checked everything on 2 November 2026.
Nobody paid to be on this list.

Independent AEO consultants
With a consultant, the person you speak to is the person doing the work.
That matters more in AEO than almost anywhere else, because the field changes every few months and judgement counts for more than process.
GWContent (Graeme Whiles)
Best for: businesses that want to know where they stand in AI answers before committing to a retainer.
Yes, this is me. Here's how I score on the same checks.
- Who does the work: me. No account managers and no juniors.
- Company: GW Copywriting Limited, trading as GWContent, incorporated in 2023 (Companies House 14724975).
- Published prices: an AI visibility audit from £1,200, which covers 100 prompt tests per engine across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews.
- AI-specific results: after I took over a failed domain migration for REHAUS, a designer furniture store, ChatGPT named it the #1 "best overall" choice for best second-hand designer furniture.
- Reviews: 4.9 from 33 Google reviews. None on Clutch or Trustpilot yet.
Worth knowing: I've written the method down, so you can judge it before you hire me. Start with my guide to answer engine optimisation.
Luca Tagliaferro
Best for: established service businesses that want SEO and AI answers handled by one senior consultant.
- Who does the work: Luca Tagliaferro, a freelance SEO consultant based in London.
- Reviews: a TrustScore of 4.3 from nine Trustpilot reviews.
- Published prices: retainers from £3,000 a month, according to his pricing page, which says the work suits companies with a £10,000+ monthly marketing budget.
- AI-specific results: none found for clients. His site does publish his own AI Overview data, including that 88% of the UK keywords his site ranks for show an AI Overview.
Worth knowing: his site says he has helped more than 20 service businesses generate over £10M in new sales. Ask which ones came from AI search rather than Google.
Tom Riley
Best for: funded startups that need AI citations and search traffic from a standing start.
- Who does the work: Tom Riley, an AI SEO consultant based in London.
- Company: TMR Digital Ltd, incorporated in 2024 (Companies House 15550089).
- AI-specific results: his site reports 165 Google AI Overview citations and 124 ChatGPT citations for one client brand, and 210 Google AI Mode citations for a national client. The clients behind those figures aren't named.
- Named results: Beams, a £9 million Series A proptech, went from flat to around 10,000 monthly organic visits in roughly eight months.
- Published prices: none.
Worth knowing: citation counts are only useful with a date and a prompt set behind them. Ask for both.
AEO agencies
An agency makes sense when AEO has to run alongside content, digital PR and technical work at scale.
The catch? Every agency now has an AEO page, so the AI-specific results column matters more here.
Angelfish Marketing
Best for: B2B companies that want AEO run alongside their existing SEO.
- Company: Angelfish Digital Marketing Ltd, incorporated in March 2026 (Companies House 17090507), registered in Cheltenham.
- AI search signal: its AEO agency page ranks first in Google in the UK for "aeo agency".
- Named results: an 847% growth in visibility and a 118% increase in organic leads, which are SEO results rather than AI-specific ones.
- Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.
Worth knowing: the current company was only incorporated in 2026, so ask how long the team has been trading.
Brand Ambition
Best for: ecommerce and lead generation sites that want AI Overviews to turn into revenue.
- Based: Leeds.
- AI-specific results: its AEO page says it generated over £30,000 from one AI Overview, and that some campaigns convert 16% of organic traffic.
- Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.
- Published prices: none.
Worth knowing: a revenue figure from a single AI Overview is exactly the kind of result to ask about. Ask how they attributed it.
Found
Best for: consumer brands that want to be found everywhere people search: Google, TikTok, Amazon and AI tools.
- Based: London.
- What it offers: a dedicated AEO service inside a wider "search everywhere" approach it calls Everysearch.
- AI-specific results: none found on the AEO page.
- Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.
Worth knowing: AEO is one part of a much wider service here. Ask for AEO case studies specifically, not just its SEO ones.
MRS Digital
Best for: B2B companies that want AI search tracked and reported as its own channel.
- Company: MRS Web Solutions Limited, incorporated in 1999 (Companies House 03900283), based in Surrey.
- AI-specific results: its AI SEO page reports a 267% year-on-year increase in sessions from LLMs (large language models such as ChatGPT), and an AI channel conversion rate it puts at 16.25x.
- Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.
- Published prices: none.
Worth knowing: the longest-registered company of those I could check, and one of the few reporting AI traffic as a channel with its own conversion rate.
Propeller
Best for: brands that want AI SEO from an agency that can also rebuild the website.
- Based: London.
- Reviews: 4.9 from 23 reviews on Clutch, the most independent reviews of any agency on this list.
- What it offers: a dedicated AI SEO service alongside web design and development.
- AI-specific results: none found on the AI SEO page.
Worth knowing: strong reviews, but Clutch shows only two of the 23 mention SEO. Ask for an AI SEO reference.
Reboot Online
Best for: finance and other regulated sectors where AI answers need careful handling.
- Company: Reboot Online Marketing Ltd, incorporated in 2012 (Companies House 08282774), based in London.
- AI-specific results: its GEO page reports a 194.72% increase in LLM referral traffic for a finance client.
- Published prices: GEO work from £2,500 a month.
- Reviews: a Trustpilot profile with no reviews yet.
Worth knowing: its GEO page names the techniques behind the finance result (digital PR and what it calls context wrapping), which is more than most agencies explain.
Tilio
Best for: smaller firms that want an AEO-only specialist rather than a full-service agency.
- Based: Essex.
- Company: the company number on its site (16563350) is registered at Companies House to Luto Ventures Ltd, incorporated in 2025.
- AI-specific results: none found.
- Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.
Worth knowing: a young business that only does AEO. That focus is appealing, but ask for client results before you sign.
Whitehat SEO
Best for: B2B companies on HubSpot that want AEO on a published price and a rolling contract.
- Based: London.
- Published prices: AEO from £1,967 a month on a done-with-you basis, or £2,967 a month done for you, ex VAT, on 30-day rolling contracts, according to its pricing page.
- What it offers: answer-first content, schema markup, citation building, AI crawler configuration and HubSpot reporting with AI lead attribution, according to its AEO page.
- AI-specific results: none found on its AEO page.
- Reviews: none found on Trustpilot.
Worth knowing: it's one of only two agencies here that publish a monthly price for AI search work (Reboot Online is the other), and it's on a rolling contract. That's a trust signal in itself.
Red flags when you hire for AEO

- Guaranteed AI mentions: nobody controls what ChatGPT says. A promise to "get you recommended by ChatGPT" is a sales line.
- Screenshots without dates: AI answers change from one day to the next. A screenshot with no date, no prompt and no location proves very little.
- No SEO results at all: AI tools build answers from pages that rank and get cited. An AEO agency that can't show SEO results is selling the label.
- A tool subscription dressed up as a service: tracking is useful, but it isn't the work. My review of AI visibility tools explains what they can and can't tell you.
What AEO costs in the UK
Only four of the 11 publish a starting price.
My AI visibility audit starts at £1,200, Whitehat SEO's AEO retainers start at £1,967 a month, Reboot Online's GEO work starts at £2,500 a month, and Luca Tagliaferro's retainers start at £3,000 a month.

For wider context, my survey of published UK SEO prices covers what 20 consultants and agencies charge.
The good news?
You can find out where you stand without paying anyone.
My guide to measuring AI visibility without a tool walks you through it.
Final Thoughts
AEO is real, and it matters.
However, most of what's sold as AEO today is good SEO with a new name, and that's fine, as long as the agency can show you results in AI answers as well as in Google.
The AEO agencies worth hiring aren't the ones with the newest service page. They're the ones who can show you dated citations, AI referral traffic and what it converted into.
If you'd like to know where your brand stands in ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Perplexity before you commit to anything, that's what my AI visibility audit is for. Or get in touch and tell me what you sell.

AEO Agency Frequently Asked Questions
What does an AEO agency do?
An AEO agency works to get your brand cited or recommended in AI answers, such as ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini. In practice that means content AI tools can quote, clear entity information about your business, mentions on sites AI tools trust, and tracking which prompts mention you.
Is AEO different from SEO?
Partly. AI answers draw heavily on pages that already rank and get mentioned, so most of the groundwork is the same. The differences are in how answers are structured, how your brand is described across the web, and how you measure success: citations and AI referral traffic rather than rankings alone.
How much does AEO cost in the UK?
Few UK providers publish prices. Of the 11 in this guide, published starting points are an AI visibility audit from £1,200 (GWContent), AEO retainers from £1,967 a month ex VAT (Whitehat SEO), GEO work from £2,500 a month (Reboot Online) and retainers from £3,000 a month (Luca Tagliaferro).
How do I check an AEO agency's results?
Ask for AI citation counts or AI referral traffic with a date range, the prompts behind them and the client's name. Then check the company at Companies House and read its reviews on Clutch or Trustpilot rather than on its own website.
